The Women of Hope Ministry was re-organized March 2003. The Women of Hope is the congregational unit of the Northern Texas/Northern Louisiana Synod Women of the ELCA. All women (high school graduates and older) of Hope Lutheran are members.

The Women of Hope is also an umbrella ministry for our Kitchen Angel, Teddy Bear, Altar Guild, Secret Pals, National Day of Prayer and Rachel’s Day ministries. We provide resources and support for these special callings. We are indeed blessed to have an energetic and loving group of women. We have so much fun and laughter, but are also there for each other with shoulders to help bear the burdens or celebrations and compassion for the valleys in our lives. Are goal is to make a difference in our congregation and community, while keeping our focus on Christ and “what would Jesus do”.

Our Mission Statement is:

Uplift and support each other, promote healing and wholeness,
provide service and means to act on needed projects for our
congregation and community, share our blessings and
thanksgiving, with all glory to God, through the power of the
Holy Spirit and in the name our lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

At the beginning of each year we choose a fundraising and/or “hands on” project for our church, along with a proposed itinerary for the rest of the year. We meet on the third Sunday of the odd numbered months (January, March, May, July, September and November) after service (about 11:00 a.m.). Of course this is subject to change and all communication is posted on our Women of Hope Bulletin Board.
